The Wagner Lab is seeking a Data Scientist to analyze clinical research data following traumatic brain injury and other acquired neurological injuries.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge in at least one statistical software package (e.g. SAS)
- Working knowledge of other packages (e.g. SPSS, R)
- Working knowledge of SQL database structure
- Strong working knowledge of versatile programming tools such as Python
- Experience with electronic data capture program, REDCap (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of clinical research methods
- Quantitative statistical skills
Responsibilities
- Curating data and assessing data integrity
- Facilitating the use of effective data management tools
- Analyzing clinical research data
- Preparing results for presentation in the form of scientific posters, oral presentation, written manuscripts, and/or grant preparation
- Training and supervising staff/students with respect to data visualization, data entry and reconciliation
- Maintaining clinical research databases
- Supporting database, infrastructure, and other project management needs
Other
- Master's Degree
- Three to five years of experience required
- Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement
- Extensive relevant experience (8-10+ years with programming and statistical analysis knowledge) may be substituted for the advanced education requirement of Master’s
- Specific fields of study applicable to this position are statistics, bioinformatics/data science, and applied mathematics
- Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department
- Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
