The company is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain its cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
Requirements
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Strong understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and data management in cloud environments
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based infrastructure such as Splunk
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to architect and implement efficient and reliable cloud solutions
- Optimize cloud resource utilization, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and technologies
- Assist the security team with developing and enforcing cloud security best practices
- Provide technical guidance to WaFd information technology colleagues

- Strong documentation skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Ability to assist internal and external customers in a personable and professional manner
- 4-5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role
- 4-5 years of experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
